Why does my car pull to one side?

Road crown can have a small effect, but persistent pulling deserves a check of tires, alignment, brakes and suspension.

What it may indicate

  • You constantly need to correct the steering wheel
  • Tires show uneven wear
  • Pulling becomes stronger while braking or accelerating

What to check

  • Check tire pressure and condition
  • Inspect wheel alignment and geometry
  • Check brakes, suspension and steering if the issue remains

When to prioritize an inspection

If the pulling starts suddenly, is strong or comes with noise, vibration or uneven braking, prioritize an inspection.
