I’m not sure who these are meant for, but they definitely don’t work for me. They don’t fit in any of my shoes at all. The only way I can sort of make them usable is by removing the top part and using the bottom part upside down in reverse shoes, just to avoid the little black nubs digging into my feet. Even then, they make my shoes feel so tight across the instep that they’re almost unwearable. I had high hopes for these taller boots, but they’ve turned out to be a huge disappointment. What a waste.

Outstanding craftsmanship.

Functions well, though it performs better in certain shoes than others, which is to be expected. The padding is comfortable.

I ordered these for several pairs of shoes, and they’ve made a noticeable difference for me. I suffer from lower back issues due to three ruptured disks, and these inserts not only give me extra height, but they also slightly shift my weight backward, helping me stand straighter and improving my posture. As a result, my back pain has decreased. The cushioning is perfect, providing lower impact on my feet and knees while walking. Every step feels soft and comfortable, transforming my dress shoes into something that feels almost like cushioned sneakers.
In many of my dress shoes, I can’t use the extra half-inch pad because it raises my heel too much, causing it to slip out. However, in my boots, I can utilize both parts of the lifts, which further reduces the heel impact. These inserts work best in lace-up shoes because loosening the laces allows my arch to rise more comfortably. They wouldn’t be suitable for slip-ons or penny loafers, as the lift would make the top of the shoe too constrictive. Overall, I’m very pleased with these lifts; they not only improve my comfort but are also much more affordable than many alternatives. I highly recommend these shoe insoles.

I’ve come across numerous reviews about these products, and opinions seem to be divided—either people love them or they hate them. Here’s my take. This is my review of these inserts, but I’ve switched up my footwear. First, it’s crucial to choose the right shoe. Also, as I’ve mentioned before, don’t overdo it. An extra inch or two in height is noticeable, especially since I’m around five nine without shoes. While I’m not particularly short, I wanted a slight boost. If you’re five six and suddenly appear six feet tall, people will definitely notice something off about your walk and posture.
Yes, these inserts are GREAT… BUT… it’s essential to understand how to use them properly. You can’t just throw them in any high tops or boots; you need the right shoes. I have a pair of high-top boots that cost me forty dollars, where I can insert both lifts and still exceed six feet. While it’s not overly awkward, it’s not ideal for extended wear. I’ve also tried them with Reebok high-tops, where I only use the one-inch lift. It’s decent but feels a bit cramped, though they provide good support.
The best combination for me has been with Skechers Afterburners featuring memory foam. I ordered them online but had to grab them from Sears for $39.99, minus a ten-dollar discount. I typically wear a size ten with average-width feet, but the Skechers I found were ten extra wide. They fit significantly better than my boots and high tops. With the larger lift in these shoes, it’s much more spacious compared to the Reebok high-tops. Despite being ankle-fit, they still offer about two inches of coverage. I can lace them tightly without worrying about my ankle rolling, and my feet feel comfortable.
As someone who works in retail and spends around 50 hours on my feet each week, I’ve found these to be more comfortable overall. The one-inch insert adds extra cushioning between me and the hard floor. My advice? Give these a try, find the right shoe, and remember, don’t be greedy. An inch or two won’t alter your gait dramatically; it’ll just make you taller among your peers without raising any suspicions that you’re wearing lifts.
Jack of all trades –
At 47 years old, I’ve been using a lift in my left shoe since I was 15. Switching shoes always meant I had to insert my lift, which was a hassle. I tried several options, even ordering two other sets, but they were too small for women’s shoes. Then I found this set, and I’m thrilled! They’re incredibly well-made and maintain their height far better than foam inserts. They come in left and right pairs, but I only need the left, so I ordered two sets. I used the left inserts in two pairs of shoes and trimmed the right side down with scissors to create two 3/4 inserts. Since my original lift is 3/4, it worked out perfectly. Now I have five lifts for five pairs of shoes! If you’re in a similar situation, I highly recommend these. They may not fit low-profile shoes, but they work well in my Asic tennis shoes and all my boots. They fit high-tops and 3/4 high tennis shoes perfectly. I’m very satisfied!

I wear a size 10 and typically choose shoes that are quite large and roomy in width. I started with the 1.5-inch insoles, but when I tried to put my foot into the shoe, it was a struggle. I had to cram my foot in, and the top of the shoe pressed uncomfortably against my foot, creating a bulge at the laces.
The .5-inch attachment doesn’t adhere well to the larger 1.5-inch part, and it often disconnects while walking. Using the 1.5-inch insert was painful—I experienced sharp pain in my Achilles and nearly rolled my ankle. Additionally, the pressure from the shoe caused intense burning on the top of my foot. I had to remove the .5-inch piece and settle for the 1-inch insert since the 1.5-inch was unbearable.
The 1-inch insert is more comfortable, but my dress socks slide over it, making it difficult to walk properly. I also feel like my gait is off when using the 1-inch insoles. My weight compresses the insert down to about three-quarters of an inch instead of the full inch. While I prefer the 1-inch, combining it to create a 1.5-inch insert doesn’t work well for me.
I recommend going for the 1-inch insert but avoiding the attachable 1.5-inch option. I really wish elevator shoes and inserts were available in stores where you could try them out before buying.
