However, adjusting to all four layers can be challenging and may lead to pain during prolonged wear. Additionally, they tend to wear out quickly, lasting only a month or two with regular use. I’ve purchased several pairs, and they consistently become thinner over time. The padded air tube frequently disconnects, causing me to walk with a noticeable limp until I can fix it. To avoid this issue, I’ve started taping them securely in advance. They are a good value for the price and provide extra height, but don’t expect them to have a long lifespan.

If you have narrow feet, these might be a good fit for you. Unfortunately, I have wide feet, and my toes spill over the sides, causing discomfort during extended wear. I tested all three strips, but there’s no way to walk comfortably in them unless you have very specific boots. I started with just one strip; itâs not terrible, but the narrowness leads to pain. They measure less than 3.5 inches wide, while my feet are over 4.5 inches. Iâm considering cutting the fronts to see if that helps. Even with just the main sole, it feels like my heel sits too high in my boots.

I’ve had my eye on the Frye Paige boots for quite a while and finally decided to purchase a pair. The main reasons I hesitated were their high price and my short calves. My calf measurement is about 15.25″ from heel to the back of my knee, while the Paige boots have a shaft height of 16″. I thought the 0.75″ difference wouldn’t be a big deal, but I was mistaken. The top front part of the boot dug into my knee with every step, making it very uncomfortable.
Despite the fit issue, these boots are stunning, and I got a great deal, so I hesitated to return them. After searching for a solution, I discovered heel increase insoles! Although I needed 1″ to address my calf issue, I opted for the 2″ insoles for extra height. My only worry was whether my foot would fit in the boot with the insoles, but thankfully, it worked! The boots I bought were half a size larger than my usual size, so they felt snug but not tight around my feet and ankles. After wearing them for half a day, they were surprisingly comfortable, like having hidden wedges inside. I felt stable all day, and my feet didn’t hurt at all.
I highly recommend these boots. With the 2″ heel increase, they fit comfortably, and visually, you can’t tell I have inserts in them. Thanks for reading!

I haven’t worn them long enough to fully assess their comfort, but on the one day I used them, they felt decent. The material seems acceptable.
This product is primarily for casual encountersâlike bringing someone home, taking off your shoes in bed, and leaving in the morning without them realizing youâre shorter than expected.
Now, my honest opinion: I assume youâre considering this for the same reason I didâinsecurities about height. I went on a Tinder date where the girl immediately remarked how she thought I would be taller, and she did so in a dismissive way. Less than 30 minutes into the date, she made an excuse to leave and never contacted me again. That stung, but hereâs the kicker: my height is 180cm, which is considered tall in many places and above average in others. The only country where it might be considered average is the Netherlands, but in no place is it deemed short.
The reality is that shallow individuals will always find something to criticize. If a shallow girl has dated someone who is 6’4″, anyone shorter will be seen as inadequate to her. Similarly, if she’s been with a billionaire, a millionaire will seem poor. So, steer clear of those who focus solely on looks. If someone doesn’t want to be with you because of your height or finances, be thankfulâyou donât need that kind of person in your life. A genuine partner will appreciate you for who you are, regardless of height or wealth. Embrace your stature and disregard the opinions of others.

The only issue Iâm experiencing is finding compatible shoes; my Nike sneakers fit well, but with other shoes, my foot tends to slip out, making it difficult to walk. As a guy who’s 5’4″ (162cm), my height has always been a concern for me. I ordered these inserts hoping to appear a bit taller when my wife, who is the same height, wears heels. I was aware that height-increasing inserts could be hit or miss, and that those elevating the heel might feel uncomfortable. I’ve tried height-increasing shoes with a 2.5″ (6.5cm) lift before, and they were incredibly uncomfortableâclunky, awkward-looking, and I felt like I was stomping around like a cowboy in an old saloon. Plus, if I wore them for more than an hour, I ended up with shin splints for days. I expected similar discomfort from these inserts but was pleasantly surprised by their comfort. I’ve tested them in various shoes (loafers, sneakers, boots) and found stages 1 and 2 to be significantly more comfortable than other options.
However, the good news ends there. While stage 1 works well with sneakers and boots, itâs a bit tricky with loafers. Stage 2 is decent with high-top sneakers and boots, but stages 3 and 4 are a joke. You canât wear stage 3 with sneakers at all, as your heel is level with the shoe opening, and with stage 4, your heel and the insert both stick out completely. Walking becomes impossible. I thought stages 3 and 4 might fit better in boots, but the top of my foot felt so cramped that I feared my toes would go numb. With laced boots, the tongue and laces bulge so much it looks like I have elephantiasis.
This product comes in different configurations with 1 to 4 risers, but Iâd recommend just getting the 2-stage inserts to save some money. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly and comfortable way to add height, stages 1 and 2 offer good value, but keep your expectations in check. Remember, no shoe will be as comfortable with an insert as it is without. For a moderate height increase of 1.2″-2″ (3cm-5cm), go for the $12.99 2-layer version. If you want a more significant boost, skip the inserts and consider height-increasing boots or start saving for surgery, since anything more than a 2″ increase with insoles will be painful and not worth the investment.
