I tried several shoes, and I couldn’t use it at maximum height because either the product fits or my foot does, but not both. When I go for the maximum height, my heel almost completely slips out of the shoe. It’s also not practical for use with boots. I love that there’s no need to trim anything; I simply slip them in and I’m all set. While I don’t mind being short, it’s always nice to gain a little height. I placed these in my boots, and they are incredibly comfortable. With one insert, I barely notice I’m wearing them; two is still manageable; and three is okay for shorter outings. Depending on my plans, I adjust the number of inserts I use. I typically won’t go out without at least one because every inch counts when conversing with friends. The best part is that no one can tell I’m wearing them. I can even slip one into my tennis shoes, and they remain comfortable and discreet. For men, one insert works well; two might take some getting used to, but it’s doable, while three could be a challenge since most aren’t as experienced in heels. Regardless, I believe it’s possible.
