I purchased these for myself and have some feedback to share. When I wore them with my Jordans, I found them to be quite uncomfortable and they really stand out from the back.

I really love these, but I would have given them 5 stars if they didn’t feel like high heels. After a few hours, they do start to hurt my feet a bit. That said, I’m thrilled to finally feel taller—at 5’4″, my height has always made me feel insecure. These are a game changer! So, if you’re a guy who feels like puberty skipped you, definitely give these a try!

These insoles are poorly made. The rubber/foam material is unevenly cut, with awkward hanging pieces and uncomfortable bumps from the mold that haven’t been smoothed out. My first impression upon opening the box was that they seem cheaply constructed. The sizing markings are difficult to read because of the poor quality and distortions in the material. Additionally, they are too narrow; they move around inside my shoes as if they were designed for very slim footwear. I don’t have wide feet, but the narrow width means that only part of my foot rests on the padded area, leaving a gap where the elevation difference between the shoe and the pad is uncomfortable. While the concept is promising, the execution is lacking. I cannot recommend this product.

Before purchasing, I read several reviews mentioning that the inserts were small, narrow, or uncomfortable. I’m happy to report I didn’t experience any of these issues. I wear a US men’s size 5/US women’s size 6.5, and these inserts fit perfectly in my sneakers. I used them in a pair of deeper “platform” shoes (they only have about an inch of lift, unfortunately) in women’s size 7. I intentionally chose a looser fit so I could add lifts. I ended up using one heel attachment for each shoe and added another wedge under the toe area for extra lift, as there was plenty of space from the sole to the tongue. I trimmed them down to the size 7 line, even though it said men’s, so they might be a tad shorter than expected. However, they’re very comfortable and cushy to walk on. Since I often wear platforms or heels, it might be wise to do some calf exercises before buying these if you think you might have issues, haha. I suspect they could compress a bit over time, but unless you’re using them in oversized boots, you’ll probably have a leftover wedge or two that you can use later without looking ridiculous. Overall, for an Amazon shoe insert, I think they’re quite good. They’re more comfortable than my other 3″ platform sneakers, so I definitely recommend giving them a try.

Surprisingly, they’re not uncomfortable at all. It does take some time to get used to them. I wear boots all the time, so I’m not sure how people with sneakers manage to wear these. They do take up quite a bit of space, and I only use one insert. At 5’10”, I’m neither short nor tall. Unfortunately, I haven’t noticed much of a difference in height, possibly because I’m only using one level, but the initial insert combined with the extra level adds a solid 2-3 inches. I feel like I’m still about the same height. With the inserts, I’m roughly 6 feet tall. Interestingly, I’ve been surrounded by taller people today, and I was on par with most of them while trying this out. I’ll get new boots and provide an update if that helps, as mine are quite old and worn out. These inserts will definitely benefit someone who is around 5’8″ or shorter.
Update 9/1/21: I got the new boots a little while ago and forgot to update. The new boots have definitely helped; they’re stiff and well-fitted, holding the inserts nicely. I wear a size 10.5/11, but these inserts seem better suited for smaller feet, probably maxing out at size 9. The inserts fit much better now and allow me to use two instead of just one. Three inserts are too much for me and not worth the extra half-inch of height due to the discomfort they cause. The heel is quite narrow, as others have mentioned.

I’ve been considering a product like this for some time. I recently saw a commercial for a different version that goes over the foot, which didn’t seem comfortable. This prompted me to search for similar products on Amazon, where I found these two appealing aspects: (1) the price and (2) the stacking design.
When I first received them and tried them in a shoe (without stacking), I wasn’t impressed with the comfort. It wasn’t until I realized I had them upside down that everything changed! 😂 Once I corrected that, they felt much better. I started with the non-stacked insole and then added the shortest layer. I’m not sure how tall I am now, but I started at 5’10” and definitely feel taller. They’re comfortable enough to wear all day. So far, no one has commented on my height, likely because the transition to the 1-level increase was gradual.
In summary, I feel more confident and better overall using these. They work best with boots or high-top shoes, as lower-top styles push my ankle outside the shoe. A++ would definitely buy again!
